Over the past 40-some years, Johnny Lightning has made a lot of changes and improvements, and it is no doubt one of the most popular collector's items on the market today. So popular that here at 3000toys.com, it is no shock to completely sell out of a new 1/64 scale release.
Another thing that makes Johnny Lightning so popular is that this particular line creates what's called a "chase car" - the hunt for the White Lightning - in their 1/64 scale series. If you are unfamiliar with the term, it's sort of like diecast treasure hunting. A chase car is very rare, and inserted into factory sealed cases at random, so you never know when you're going to be lucky enough to nab one!
The first set we received is the Johnny Lightning Forever 64 Release 15. It's a 12-piece assortment that comes in a factory sealed case, with that beloved chase car inserted at random.

The second item we received is the Johnny Lightning Muscle Car Release 53. These cars come in 1/24 scale, featuring a diecast body with a plastic chassis. The set includes one each of a Ford Parts 1957 Ford Courier Sedan Delivery and a 1957 Oldsmobile Stock Car. These cars can be purchases as either a 2-car set or a 4-piece factory sealed case (which will include 2 of each car, plus a chance to discover the chase car.)
